Mulch

Mulch helps to maintain moisture around plants, prevent soil erosion, improve soil conditions, and reduces the growth of weeds in your landscaping. Between the heavy rain and hot days, these are all factors your home garden needs! Ask Queen City Lawn and Landscaping about our mulching services to keep your lawn and garden in good shape throughout the summer months.

BUGS!

July and August can be hard on your garden, particularly with certain insects and diseases being at their most active during the warmest months of the year. It may not be possible to completely control or eliminate these factors, but give your plants a fighting chance with our Summer insect and disease control treatment.

Lawn Tip:

The grass is starting to slow down with its growth. From now until the end of Summer a good rule of thumb to follow for mowing is cut fescue at 4” high and cut Bermuda at 2” high. Bermuda can with stand the heat but fescue is sensitive this time of year and cutting short will kill your grass.  Also, watering your lawn 2 to 3 times a week for 20 mins each time will help to keep your lawn healthy and give a better chance of survival during the summer months.
