March Is Here

It Is Almost Spring Time

Winter is almost over and spring is right around the corner, which means it is time to aerate your lawn. With the winter months, comes winter weather which tends to compact your grass and the soil around your grass. When you aerate your lawn, this helps break up the soil and helps get the much needed air to the roots of your grass. Request service online or call today.

Spring Is Right Around The Corner

Time To Aerate!

Spring aeration is an important factor for the overall health of our lawns in this region.  Due to the hard clay makeup of our soil, this should be done twice a year.  A Core Aeration will relieve soil compaction and allow a proper exchange of oxygen and nutrients to the root system aiding its development. YOU SHOULD be taking steps now to rejuvenate your lawn.  The 2 Landscape Governing Bodies (NCSU and NC Dept of Agriculture) have the following recommendations: Aeration, Lime and Pre-emergent Herbicide. Schedule your appointment today!

The Groundhog Says…

It is going to be an early spring.

Do you know what that means? That’s correct. Time to think about getting your lawn ready for all the flowering plants that will be blooming into color soon. This is also a good time to start thinking about your grass and when you should have it mowed for the first time after the winter.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Need a One-Time Cut?

Welcome to 2016! This year so far we have seen very quirky weather with us having temps in the 70s over Christmas, a ton of rain and now temps in the 20s and 30s. Well this has confused our lawns as well! We have seen grass growing rapidly as well as the weeds have popped back up way earlier than usual. But don't worry about the weeds! These freezing temperatures are going to chase them away. If you are on our fertilization plan then come next month is when we will start the pre-emergent fertilizer and heavy weed control for any weeds that survive the winter. Also with the overgrowth of the grass if you need a one-time cut please contact us and we will get you on the schedule! Have a great week and stay warm!
