It's a little toasty outside!

Please everyone keep your family and pets safe in this hot weather! As far as your lawn is concerned there are a couple of things you can do to help it during the hot summer temperatures.

When it comes to mowing, if you have a fescue lawn make sure it is being cut between 3.5'' and 4'' high. Fescue is a cool grass and cutting it short during the summer will end up killing your grass.

Watering your lawn is very important also. We recommend setting your watering system between 4am and 10am in the morning 3-4 times a week for approximately 15-20 minutes.

Watering during the day is not a good idea because believe it or not your lawn can get sun burned and the water not only reflects the sun to cause more damage but also dries up before getting to the roots.

Applying a nitrogen rich fertilizer will also help to not only strengthen your lawn and help to improve the color.

With these helpful tips put into play your lawn should be able to survive the hot summer sun. Have a great weekend and stay cool!
